2008-07-17 08:34:00

ALLENTOWN, Pa., July 17 /EMWNews/ -- Akrion, Inc. ("Akrion"), a

supplier of solar and semiconductor surface preparation equipment, received

orders for product enhancements totaling more than $4 million in the last

thirty days.

Among the orders is a long term contract to supply product extensions

to a major DRAM manufacturer in Asia. The overall enhancement orders are

divided fairly evenly between customers in the United States, Asia and

Europe.

Akrion's unique modular batch-immersion product lines, including

E200/9400, AWP, GAMA, i-clean and V3 automated systems, allow customers the

option to extend the lifetime of their process systems by re-configuring

their wet stations to accommodate changes in specifications or product mix.

Akrion's aftermarket program includes pre-engineered add-on subsystems that

augment system capabilities and improve process operations for increased

productivity, higher yields and greater profitability.

"It's in our best interest to partner with our customers and offer them

systems that they can count on to help keep them competitive. Customers

recognize the advantages offered by our modular, customizable wet stations.

We believe that our ability to extend product lifetime and capabilities is

one of the major strengths of our company," stated James S. Molinaro,

Akrion President and CEO.
