America Ferrara, Katherine Heigl, TR Night, Neil Patrick Harris, Jaime Pressly and Other Top Celebs Raise Over $350k for Hot In Hollywood III to Fight HIV/AIDS

Los Angeles, CA (EMWNews) August 20, 2008 — “I had so much fun hosting Hot In Hollywood 3! It is such a great space to make a fool out of my self! It was professional chaos!” exclaimed America Ferrara, the host of this year’s Hot in Hollywood fundraiser. HIH III offered a new meaning to “singing your heart out” this past Saturday evening. The night was jam-packed with celebrities who all unified for the Aids Healthcare Foundation and Real Medicine Foundation with singing performances and entertaining skits. The brainchild of the event, creator Michael Medico cited that “I am once again stunned by the generosity of our participating talent! Each year we keep getting better and better and raising more money for our beneficiaries, I am forever grateful.”

The red carpet could not have shined any brighter as the celebrities passionately discussed the importance of the charity and why they donated so much of themselves to it. Notable highlights from the evening included: America Ferrara and Ana Ortiz opening the show with a catty performance of “Diamonds are Forever”, Neil Patrick Harris, Josh Radnor and Jessie Tyler Ferguson did a HALARIOUS rendition of “Peter Paul and Mary” and “Puff the Magic Dragon,” Madeline Zima rocked out to “These Boots are Made for Walking”. Candis Cayne performed a sexy number produced and directed by fashion designer, Randolph Duke. Eric Millegan and Emily Deschanel of Bones, were dead ringers for Sony and Cher as they performed “I Got You Babe.” T.R. Night., Jane Lynch, Antonio Sabato Jr., and Jason Biggs entertained in between musical performances and hosted the auction in which Katherine Heigl showed her generosity by donating $8000 for a Jamaican trip. Other performers included Mark Indelicato, Nadine Velazquez, Tony Plana, Gina Ravera, Glen Howerton, Bellamy Young and Elijah Kelley.

These Boots are Made for Walking

Jaime Pressly, who has been an initial supporter of HOT IN HOLLYWOOD since its conception was honored with an award for her dedication to the fight for HIV/AIDS awareness. Jaime also shared her personal story of her uncle’s tragic death from the disease with the visibly touched crowd. The shows ensemble finale was perfection including cast members from “Ugly Betty”, “How I Met Your Mother”, “ER”, “Dirty Sexy Money”, “Bones” and others all joined the stage to perform a heart felt rendition of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”. Other celebs in attendance to show support included Amerie, Eric Martsolf, James Kyson Lee, Christian De La Fuente, Roscoe Umali, Teairra Mari, Aiden Mitchell, Cheryl Burke, Tila Tequila, David Blue, Bai Ling and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe.
