ASI’s National Kidney Foundation Pro Bono Fundraising Campaign Concludes

Organization’s First Social Media-Based Program Highlights Improved Reach, Reduced Overhead Through Viral Campaigning

ALEXANDRIA, VA–( EMWNews – March 31, 2008) – Advanced Solutions International (ASI), the

leading global provider of .Net software for associations and non-profits,

today announced that the company has successfully completed the National

Kidney Foundation’s first social media-based donation campaign. Through a

pro bono company initiative called ASI Cares, employees identified the

National Kidney Foundation as a cause they believed in strongly and took it

upon themselves to create, manage and execute the campaign.

ASI created and launched their National Kidney Foundation donation campaign

in 72 hours. The 29-day campaign started with 128 participants, and ASI’s

social media technology organically doubled the reach to 256 donors. The

National Kidney Foundation’s fundraising campaign was run entirely over the

Internet, incurring no postage or materials costs for pledge forms,

permits, property rental fees, tax recites or mailers, and enabling

complete participation directly from personal computers.

“ASI has taken it in their hands to create and drive a donation campaign

for us, and founder Bob Alves’ personal contribution of time, staff and

money has been very much appreciated,” said Stephen Bajardi, Chief

Operating Officer at National Kidney Foundation. “This will directly

address our mission to save lives through prevention, treatment, and

transplant availability.”

“When the family of one of our key team members was tragically affected by

kidney disease, we wanted to show our support by helping the National

Kidney Foundation,” said Bob Alves, Chairman and CEO of ASI. “I’m proud of

each of our employees who reached out to their personal networks to show

support for their colleague, as well as the estimated quarter of the U.S.

population impacted by this terrible disease.”

The National Kidney Foundation campaign, which started December 12, 2007

and concluded January 11, 2008, was headed by the company’s fundraising

product manager, Sarah Hoddinott. The National Kidney Foundation ASI Cares

campaign was inspired by the family struggle of one of ASI’s executive

leaders, who is persevering through a second kidney transplant, and its

success was the result of an effort put forth by ASI employees worldwide.
