Experts Discuss the Role of New, Clean Diesel Fuels and Technologies

in Reducing Pollution and American’s Use of Oil

–(EMWNews)–WHAT:

An expert panel discussion about the role new, clean diesel fuel and

engines can play in reducing America’s petroleum consumption and

transport-related CO2 emissions.

The panel will also address how new technologies may impact future

transportation, energy and environmental policies. Attendees will learn

about a new study that demonstrates the considerable economic and

environmental benefits of clean diesel.

From immediate reductions in emissions and improved fuel economy to the

role of next generation renewable diesel, the panel will provide a new

understanding of the growing role clean diesel technology is playing.

Presentations will be followed by audience Q&A and an open discussion

with speakers. Refreshments will be served.

WHO:

Michael Walsh – International Council on Clean Transportation

Michael will present his recent article from the Annual Review of

Public Health, addressing the role of new clean diesel technology

plays reducing transportation related air pollution and CO2

emissions.

 

Kevin McMahon – Martec Group

Kevin will share new research findings that help quantify economic

and environmental benefits of diesel vehicle ownership and project

the societal benefits that can come from various penetration levels

of new clean diesel vehicles in coming years.

 

Michael McAdams – Advanced Biofuels Coalition

Michael will discuss next generation renewable diesel fuel, its

benefits relative to today’s biodiesel, where it will come from and

when will it be available.
