Former BMC Software Executive Joins Fluensee to Lead Sales and Business Development Efforts

Former BMC executive Jay Gardner has joined the management team of leading RFID-enabled asset management solution provider Fluensee and will serve as vice president of sales and business development.

Denver, CO (EMWNews) August 19, 2008 — Former BMC executive Jay Gardner has joined the management team of leading RFID-enabled asset management solution provider Fluensee and will serve as vice president of sales and business development. Gardner will be responsible for leading Fluensee’s sales organization and for building key business partnerships supporting the sale and delivery of Fluensee solutions.

Gardner has recently served as a venture advisor for DFJ Mercury, a Texas based seed and early-stage venture capital fund and as a board member of Phurnace Software. From 1988 through the end of 2006, he held several executive roles at BMC Software, including chief information officer. Before joining BMC, Gardner worked for 10 years at IBM in various sales and management positions.

At BMC, Gardner launched the company’s Software as a Service offering and held positions as North American vice president of sales, vice president of global field operations and vice president of corporate operations. Along with a strong track record of success as a sales executive, Gardner’s responsibilities also included product operations and pricing.
