GroupSystems Integrates ThinkTank(R) with Microsoft SharePoint

ThinkTank Users can now Schedule, Create, Update and Join Group

Intelligence Sessions Using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

DENVER, Aug. 5 /EMWNews/ -- GroupSystems, the global leader in team

collaboration for innovation, decision-making, leadership and a pioneer in

the Group Intelligence segment, today announced the availability of their

ThinkTank -- SharePoint Integration. The ThinkTank -- SharePoint

Integration version 1.0 creates a seamless integration between

GroupSystems' ThinkTank v2.3 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

The integration creates a new SharePoint event type specifically designed

to enable ThinkTank sessions. Upon saving the new SharePoint event, a

corresponding ThinkTank session is automatically created including the

session title, description, location, start and end dates and times, and an

agenda based on the selected template.

"The integration between the two programs works and is easy to

execute," says Tiffany Miller, Sr. Manager, Ideation at GSD&M IdeaCity. "We

are long time users to both GroupSystems' ThinkTank and Microsoft

SharePoint. This new integration has the potential to simplify our use of

ThinkTank for both our internal and client collaboration projects,"

continues Miller.

Additionally, session participants can join the ThinkTank session

directly from the SharePoint site. Participants who are members of the

SharePoint site can automatically receive email notification of the new

ThinkTank session event along with a URL link in the message enabling them

to join the session right from their email Inbox. Microsoft Office users

may also access the event calendar from Outlook to view, update, or join

the session.

"Microsoft SharePoint has rapidly become the collaboration platform of

choice for millions of people. By connecting our leading group

collaboration and team decision-making software, ThinkTank with Microsoft

SharePoint, we are making it even easier for companies to tap the

wellspring of their organization's group intelligence," says Jim Godsey,

GroupSystems Vice President of Marketing and Channels. "The ThinkTank --

SharePoint Integration is a turnkey webpart extension, built to standard

Microsoft SharePoint integration specifications and delivers exceptional

simplicity and value instantly," continues Godsey.
