I lost my mother a week ago and am trying to raise money to finish my last semester of college as a tribute to her because her wish was for me to graduate.
My name is Nsesheye Mwamengo. I am a student at the University of Texas at Arlington scheduled to graduate spring 2019 as a double major in Accounting and Finance.
I am an international student from Zambia and I have been in the United States since 2014. I mainly relied on my parents financial help. My family and I recently suffered a sudden loss with the passing of my mother. As a result, money has been scarce and I no longer have the means to pay for my Last semester of college.As an international student I am not allowed to receive any grants or loans from the US government I only have 6 classes left which amounts in the total of $14000.
Losing my mother has been a tragedy that has taken a toll on my mental and physical health. However, this pain has challenged me to honor my mother through education. My mother always made sure her children were aware of the importance of education and this has motivated me to complete my higher education. I am determined to finish school and make my mother proud. My college degree will be my tribute to her. I am desperate for your help because I have till the 30th of January to register for classes.
