CALGARY, ALBERTA–(EMWNews – Aug. 21, 2008) – Income & Equity Index Participation Fund (TSX:IEP.UN) reports the distribution to unitholders of record at the close of business on August 31, 2008 and payable September 15, 2008 is $0.075 Cdn per unit.
Throughout the month of July 2008, Income & Equity Index Participation Fund repurchased 73,800 units under its mandatory repurchase program when the Fund traded at a discount greater than 5%.
As at August 14, 2008, Income & Equity’s net asset value was $11.21 Cdn per unit. The portfolio currently consists of 15% oil and gas royalty trusts, 16% ongoing business trusts, 13% real estate investment trusts, 10% industrials, 14% energy & services, 5% materials, 26% S&P/TSX 60 capped call option, and 1% cash and cash equivalents.
