In 1917, China Art Enamel Factory (China Enamel Ware Manufacturing Company) was officially established, which was the first enamel factory run by Chinese people. In the following ten years, Yifeng, Huafeng, Jiuxin, Zhaofeng and other enamel factories successively opened in Shanghai, a place of cultural exchange between old and new. A large number of domestic enamel products were brought to the market, and the product varieties were continuously enriched, which directly affected the original market of the enamel factories of Yang Shang and Hua Yang joint venture. In the 30’s period, the domestic enamel products have accounted for more than 90% of the total national production, the national enamel industry has taken shape, and gradually began to export to the United States, Japan and so on.

Until around 2000, stainless steel, plastic and other more advantageous products began to seize the original enamel products market, enamel industry gradually lost its advantages in production, use, and even aesthetic, and was slowly replaced by these emerging technologies in just a few decades.

Although enamel products are no longer mainstream in China, they can be exported to foreign countries. Because enamel products are easy to clean, easy to maintain, enamel surface does not decompose harmful substances, non-toxic and harmless to human body, so whether in Europe and the United States, or in Southeast Asia, African countries and the world are very popular.
