OTTAWA, ONTARIO–(EMWNews – Aug. 11, 2008) – Canadian Medical Association (CMA) President, Dr. Brian Day, will unveil the most complete data available on the national illness costs of air pollution on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. The report titled “No Breathing Room: National Illness Costs of Air Pollution” shows the effects of poor air quality on four distinct age groups of Canadians. It also shows the estimated number of smog-related deaths between 2008 and 2031.
