CANADA-WIDE PHOTO CONTEST DRAWS TALENT IN SUPPORT OF FAMILIES IN NEED

CALGARY, ALBERTA, PRESS RELEASE–(EMWNews – July 15, 2008) – Newly formed Canadian Progress Club (“CPC”) Elevate (www.elevatecpc.ca), announced today that they will be launching their 2nd Annual Worldwide WOW Canada-wide Photo Contest with proceeds being dedicated to the Empowering Families Program, a program created to assist families break the cycle of poverty.

“We are very excited about this fundraiser activity,” said Sophy Schiller, Chair of the Photo Contest Committee. “Not only does it allow amateur photographers from across Canada the opportunity to win a portion of the $13,500 prize pool, it also gives them a great feeling that their $35 entry fee is going towards an amazing program that assists families impacted by poverty.”

About the Empowering Families Program
The Empowering Families Program was created to help low-income families break the cycle of poverty. It is a collaborative effort that will assist local families facing various challenges. The funds raised will be directed towards education and training opportunities for low income families, to enable them to obtain permanent, sustainable employment. With the help of a family advisory, Empowering Families surrounds the participating families with all the services and support they need to succeed.
