HARRISBURG, Pa., July 16 /EMWNews/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today reacted to news that Don Barden has entered into an agreement with Wall Street Capital and High Pitt Gaming to invest $120 million in the Majestic Star Casino project: "It's welcome news that Don Barden has found partners who will add financial stability to this important economic development project for Pittsburgh's North Shore. The new dollars will help return construction workers to the site and put this venture back on schedule. "I am confident the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will do its due diligence to make sure the agreement is proper and maintains the commitments that were made during the application process. I am hopeful these actions that will lead to the approval of the new ownership group."
