BRUSSELS, BELGIUM–( EMWNews – April 4, 2008) –

RHJ International (Euronext: RHJI), a diversified industrial holding

the appointment of Rüdiger Schmid-Kühnhöfer to the position of

General Counsel of RHJ International, succeeding Robert E. Ewers who

has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities. Mr.

Ewers will continue to advise RHJI as an external consultant for a

limited period.

Dr. Schmid-Kühnhöfer joined RHJI’s executive management team in

November of 2007. He has extensive financial industry experience.

Prior to joining RHJ International he held various positions at

Credit Suisse Group as a member of the Senior Management.

Previously, Dr. Schmid-Kühnhöfer worked in the Capital Markets and

M&A practice groups of Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York and

Düsseldorf. He holds a PhD in European business law from the

University of Cologne and a business degree from the University of

Bayreuth. The appointment is effective as of April 1, 2008.
