Oakville, Ontario Jul 2, 2026 (EMWNews.com) – Hydrogenuine launches a public website and open-source core for governed AI agent operation
Hydrogenuine, an AI governance infrastructure project founded by Andrew Green, today launched its public website and open-source core to document and share tools for governing AI agent operation. The launch addresses a growing technical concern for organizations evaluating AI agents: how to determine what an agent was authorized to do, what evidence it used, what it refused, and whether the resulting record can be reviewed later.
Hydrogenuine is designed as a governed operating layer for AI agents. It focuses on scoped autonomy, receipt records, refusal records, proof bundles, contradiction tracking, memory quarantine, and operator review. The project treats model output as candidate output, not authority. Its central question is: “Was the model authorized to do this, and can you prove it?”
The public website explains Hydrogenuine’s architecture, including Agent Zero, a governed autonomous agent runtime; an authority chain for routing and scoping proposed actions; and proof and receipt mechanisms for preserving records of agent operation. The site also includes representative concept surfaces for operator review, robotics, treasury automation, AI governance, and other high-risk workflows. These concept surfaces use synthetic data and are not presented as production deployments.
The open-source core focuses on governance vocabulary and reusable primitives, including receipts, refusals, boundaries, authority concepts, and proof/replay structures. Hydrogenuine’s broader architecture is intended for teams evaluating agentic systems that require clearer records, safer scopes, and human-readable review paths.
Hydrogenuine does not claim Artificial General Intelligence, consciousness, sentience, autonomous authority, production certification, regulator approval, or customer deployment. Proof bundles record what ran; they do not prove that a model was correct.
“Most agent systems compete on doing more,” said Andrew Green, founder/operator of Hydrogenuine. “Hydrogenuine starts from a different question: who authorized this, where is the receipt, and what did the system refuse?”
