LIFE SCAPE Launches Pinateca, a Project Management Tool With Eight Board Types and Free Team Chat

Tokyo, Japan Sep 25, 2026 (EMWNews.com) – LIFE SCAPE, K.K., a Tokyo-based software company, has launched Pinateca, a project management tool that brings eight board types and built-in team chat together on a single screen. All eight board types are included in the free plan for teams of up to five people, and the service is available in English and Japanese.

Many project management tools divide their core features across pricing tiers. Gantt charts, which teams use to see where deadlines overlap, are often available only on paid plans, so teams cannot test the view before they commit. Tasks are kept in one application, conversations in another, and timelines in a spreadsheet. Meeting recordings are stored in yet another service, and minutes are still written by hand. LIFE SCAPE developed Pinateca to address these problems in one product.

When creating a board in Pinateca, users choose the view that suits the work. The eight board types are kanban, Gantt chart, calendar, list, discussion, grid, timetable, and resource. The grid board places items on a two-axis matrix, the timetable board fills weekly slots by day and period, and the resource board shows the workload of each person or team. According to the company, these three formats are not offered by other major project management tools.

Each workspace includes chat channels, and every card has its own comment thread, so discussions stay next to the related task. Mentions, assignments, and due dates are collected in a single inbox. On the Business plan, meeting recordings attached to a card are transcribed automatically, speakers are identified, and minutes with key points, decisions, and next steps are produced. Because the transcript is linked to the video timeline, a search result can be played back from the moment the words were spoken.

Pinateca can also be operated from AI assistants. Users of ChatGPT, claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude Code can connect their Pinateca account by signing in and approving access, without copying an API token, and can then ask questions such as which cards are due this week or create and move cards within the conversation. The assistant can only see what the signed-in user is permitted to see. Pinateca is also listed in the Zapier app directory, provides a community node for n8n, and can import exported Trello data including boards, cards, labels, and attachments.

The free plan covers up to five people and ten boards. Paid plans start at 5 US dollars per user per month for the Standard plan, and the Business plan, which adds meeting transcription, is 19 US dollars per user per month. View-only guests are not counted as paid seats, and workspaces are unlimited.
