Who Qualifies for a Press Pass?

- Holders of a valid press pass from a recognized journalist association or guild
- Professional journalists with published bylined articles from the past six months
- Editors listed on a publication’s masthead from recognized media outlets
- Freelance journalists with a valid editorial assignment letter for a specific event
- Photojournalists with published credits from recognized news organizations
- Bloggers and digital content creators with established, independent publications (minimum 25 published articles)
- Student journalists affiliated with accredited university media programs (with faculty sponsorship)
- Broadcast journalists (TV, radio, podcast) with regular news programming
❌ Do NOT Qualify
- Public relations professionals and marketing representatives
- Advertising or sales representatives from media companies
- Business owners attending events for commercial purposes
- Social media influencers without independent editorial content
- Personal bloggers without established readership or publication history
- Spouses, partners, or guests of credentialed media (guest passes available)
- Individuals with personal websites lacking original journalism
Required Documentation
To complete your press pass application, please prepare the following documentation:
📰 For Professional Journalists
- Three recent bylined articles (published within last 6 months)
- Copy of official press card from recognized association (if applicable)
- Letter of assignment from editor/publication (for event-specific coverage)
- Masthead showing your name and editorial position
📸 For Photojournalists
- Portfolio of published photographs (minimum 15 images)
- Credits from recognized news organizations
- Camera equipment list and professional credentials
💻 For Bloggers & Digital Creators
- 25+ published articles on your website or platform
- Independent content (not sponsored or branded content)
- Established publication history (minimum 12 months)
- Web analytics or audience metrics demonstrating reach
🎓 For Student Journalists
- Current student ID from accredited institution
- Letter from faculty advisor or department head
- Samples of work from student publication
- Valid press pass from youth press organization (if applicable)

Terms & Conditions
- Press passes are non-transferable and must be used only by the individual to whom they are issued
- Credentials expire annually and must be renewed with updated documentation
- EMWNews reserves the right to conduct further investigations to establish proof of journalistic activities
- Misrepresentation of credentials will result in immediate revocation and potential legal action
- Press passes remain the property of EMWNews and must be returned upon request
- Use of credentials for commercial or non-journalistic purposes is prohibited
- Lost or stolen passes must be reported immediately
