When I was two, I was diagnosed with generalised epilepsy. I had my first seizure on Halloween. Over the years, my seizures didn’t seem very bad, but when I turned twelve they had started to worsen.

Months ago I was given another diagnosis after I almost drowned in the lake. I was lucky my grandfather was paying close attention or I would have died.

It turns out that I actually have a rare and severe type of epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. I’ve already had surgery for the vns, but that doesn’t control all of my seizures. Only controls them.

I need the service dog to help comfort me when I have my seizure. To find someone when I have a seizure and I’m alone.
