32nd Annual Victoria Skimboards World Championship of Skimboarding Set for July 26-27 in Orange County

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif.–(EMWNews)–For the 32nd consecutive year, Laguna Beach, Calif.-based Victoria

Skimboards, the world’s leading manufacturer

of Skimboards, Wake skim boards, and Flatland boards, will host the

Victoria Skimboards World Championship of Skimboarding, arguably the

most prestigious event on the skimboarding circuit. Only the most

qualified 80 amateur and 60 professional skimboarders will vie for

titles, purses and bragging rights at Aliso Beach Park in Laguna Beach,

considered the world’s most perfect

skimboarding beach, on Saturday, July 26, 2008, and Sunday, July 27,

During the last decade, skimboarding, as with many other action sports,

has exploded as a crucial sport to both generation X and Y, creating

amazing media participation and heavy audience support. Skimboarding has

rapidly evolved into one of the nation’s

The Victoria WCS tests a rider’s “all

around” ability (front side and backside

maneuvers required by judges) on some of the most demanding shore break

in the world at Aliso Beach. Only the best have been invited and only

the best will move on to the finals.
