I am 64 years old, I have been struggling for the last 8 years financially. I burned through my retirement trying to keep my house after a divorce. I was unable to find a job for 4 1/2 years due to my age and the economy. I had to short sale my house in Dec. 2012. Didn’t find a job until Oct. 2013 but it was only part-time. found a better full-time job in June of 2014 worked there until Dec. 2016 at which time I started working for Lyft & Uber as a full time driver. I was living with my daughter at the time. I was doing very well with driving and making good money, so I upgraded to a newer vehicle In may to help enhance my earnings. Got my own place in June and everything seemed to be falling my way. Then on July 27th I was involved in an accident that totaled my vehicle. At this point I cannot work to pay my rent or bills. The Insurance still hasn’t settled my claim, I have another vehicle that needs 3K in transmission repairs. I need help to get the vehicle fixed, pay my rent and bills. I am having trouble finding another job at my age and being without a vehicle. Anything will help me to get these things done and I would be very grateful for any and all help. I’m 2 years away from full Social Security so I’m here asking for help. I never thought I would be in this position at age 64. I just need some temporary help to get me through this desperate time.
