By offloading embedding generation onto an asynchronous background pipeline, memory scale grows linearly without introducing latency to the main chat thread.
Crucially, patient data privacy is handled as a core structural property of the codebase rather than a compliance policy. Custom ownership middleware scopes all vector queries by the authenticated user ID directly at the query layer. This completely isolates data blocks and prevents cross-patient semantic leakage before similarity calculations even begin. Combined with semantic signal caching via Redis and an asynchronous worker queue that offloads downstream notification overhead, Elara sets a new technical standard for scalable, highly secure generative AI deployments.
