Seeking funding to make my house livable for my family and I. My name is Gregory, my girlfriend’s name is Susanna. We have been together 11 years and have two boys. Max is 3 years old and Anthony is 1 year old. We all sleep on a pull out couch in her mother’s living room.
I do give small amounts of money to charity when I can. I hope it doesn’t sound selfish but I went to bed thinking if 500 people tossed $20-$50 at the cause I could probably get just the 1st floor done so that we can move in. Things could be worse I am grateful that we have a place to stay.
I am also grateful that the boys are healthy. We have had this house for 9 months and is going very slow. I understand that there are people with much bigger problems. I’m getting a little discouraged and I want my family to be happy. I’m very optimistic, sometimes too much for my own good. I came to the realization today that I need help in order to finish this house. I want my boys to be able to have a place to call home. Susanna and I dream of her being able to cook dinner in our own kitchen.
I am experienced in construction so I will save money there. The next step with the house is to finish the demolition. I may need one or two more dumpsters. After that it’s heating, plumbing and electrical. Then everything will fall together. When Mechanicals are done just need insulation and drywall. I am excited to get this project in motion. I want to be able to spend next Christmas with all of us here at our own house.
