Asaba Jumah Partners with NIRA for National ID Renewal Campaign

Hoima, Western May 31, 2026 (EMWNews.com) – Ugandan musician, actor, and author Asaba Jumah has partnered with the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) to support the ongoing National ID renewal and registration campaign across Uganda.

The initiative aims to encourage Ugandans to renew expired National Identity Cards and register for new IDs where necessary. Through his influence in music, film, literature, and digital media, Asaba Jumah will help raise awareness about the importance of possessing a valid National ID.

Speaking about the partnership, Asaba Jumah emphasized the significance of national identification in accessing essential government and private services.

“A National ID is more than just a card. “It is an important document that helps citizens access opportunities and services and participate fully in national development,” he said.

As part of the campaign, Asaba Jumah is expected to engage communities through media appearances, social media outreach, public awareness events, and educational campaigns aimed at informing citizens about the registration and renewal process.

NIRA continues to encourage all eligible Ugandans to update their identification information and ensure their National IDs remain valid. The authority believes that partnerships with influential public figures such as Asaba Jumah will help increase public participation and awareness throughout the country.
