AXA Equitable Promotes Manish Agarwal to Senior Vice President of Retail Distribution

    NEW YORK, Aug. 14 /EMWNews/ -- AXA Equitable Life

Insurance Co. announced today that Manish Agarwal has been promoted to

Senior Vice President of Retail Distribution. The announcement was made by

Andrew McMahon, Executive Vice President of Retail Distribution for AXA

Equitable and Chairman of AXA Advisors, LLC, the company's broker/dealer.



    In this key role, Mr. Agarwal is responsible for operations, sales

support and strategy for the company's Retail Distribution channel. This

includes learning and training for the field force, driving profitable

growth, recruiting initiatives, risk management, enterprise operations and

developing and implementing new strategic priorities.



    In making today's announcement, Mr. McMahon said, "Manish has an

in-depth understanding of multiple business channels across AXA Equitable

and has an outstanding track record of delivering high-performance results.

We're looking to him to build upon and enhance our slate of strategic

initiatives and growth goals for Retail Distribution."



    Mr. Agarwal joined the Retail Distribution channel in January 2006 as a

Vice President where he was instrumental in the successful conversion of

the company's broker/dealer operations to Linsco Private Ledger (LPL), a

strategic move by AXA Equitable to provide its financial professionals with

enhanced technology and a wider choice of programs and capabilities for

better client service. Mr. Agarwal also had overall responsibility for

Retail software and hardware, and driving AXA Advisors' sales growth within

key opportunity markets, areas he will continue to oversee.



    Mr. Agarwal joined AXA Equitable in 2005 as a Vice President in the

company's Strategic Initiatives Group, where he worked on a variety of

projects touching nearly every area of the organization and driving key

performance metrics.



    Prior to joining AXA Equitable, Mr. Agarwal was an Engagement Manager

with McKinsey & Co. and led client teams in projects across marketing,

strategy, corporate finance and operations, primarily within insurance

companies.



    Mr. Agarwal earned a bachelor of technology in mechanical engineering

from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India. He earned a

master of science and a doctor of philosophy in mechanical engineering from

Carnegie Mellon University.
