Brian Maxson, ARMY veteran (933rd MP Company, Desert Storm) has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. Brian typically works for the local school district as a bus driver. Unfortunately, he is only deemed as part time and therefore not able to purchase insurance through the school district. He is currently hospitalized after being taken by ambulance after not being able to breathe.
He does not have paid time off or access to short or long term disability insurance which means his income has abruptly stopped. After months of spending virtually every cent of his money and depleting savings for doctor’s visits and testing, they still did not diagnose the cancer. It was not until he arrived at the hospital that we learned of his shocking illness.
Brian is one of two children, his sister Becky is doing her absolute best to help him. Brian and Becky are also jointly helping to care for their parents who are elderly and their father has Alzheimer’s disease. This small family is getting hit from every angle right now and we could really use your help.
