Popular children’s recording artists Robin And The Giant perform acoustic shows for children in an “unplugged” format at intimate settings as a coffeehouse style revue they are calling the Milk And Cookie Cafe. The shows mark the 21st anniversary of Robin And The Giant. The shows are free to resorts, hotels, and campgrounds in the state of Florida.

Ocala, FL (EMWNews) July 30, 2008 — Children’s recording artists, Robin And The Giant, have announced plans for a live acoustic show for children, for small intimate venues, and are describing the concept as a coffeehouse for children and families. The veteran entertainment duo calls the show the Milk And Cookie Café and have dubbed the conceptual café as MoonDoe’s (a play on words of the popular coffeehouse StarBucks).

Robin And The Giant have been performing and recording for children since 1987. They were among the first children’s artists to appear on the internationally distributed For Kids Only channel of the Digital Cable Radio Network.

2008 marks the 21st anniversary of Robin And The Giant. To commemorate those two decades and a year, the duo, based out of Ocala, Florida, will be making their program available to resorts, hotels, and campgrounds in the Sunshine State free of charge.

“It’s our way of giving something back,” notes Robin MacBlane who teamed up with Larry Whitler to form the children’s duo.

Robin And The Giant have produced a radio program, and published three books, including a 572 page book of 56 short stories for children (“The Gift Of The Barking Frog And Other Gifts From The Heart”), an illustrated story book for young children about two puppies who discover each other’s friendship (“Live To Sniff”), and a novel for young adults about two nine-year-old boys who learn some important lessons when they enter a time portal, including the absurdity of prejudice (“Oreo And Braun: XOB, The Full Circle Quest”).

The centerpiece of Robin And The Giant has always been the music and in 2007 the duo re-mastered their double CD “Time To Travel” and their popular “Back To School” disc. In addition to the two re-mastered releases, Robin And The Giant have been in the studio the past two years re-recording some of their favorite self-penned songs and some newly written numbers.
