CollegeWeekLive Sets Dates for Fall Event — November 12-13, 2008

Ground-Breaking Virtual College Fair Expands Internationally and Online, Connecting Students Live With 200+ Leading Universities From Australia, Europe, Canada, the UK and the USA

BOSTON, MA–(EMWNews – August 18, 2008) – CollegeWeekLive

(http://www.collegeweeklive.com), the largest virtual college fair, today

announced the dates of its Fall 2008 event that will connect high school

students with hundreds of colleges located around the world through a live,

interactive online environment. CollegeWeekLive Fall 2008 will

take place on November 12 and 13, 2008 (from 12:00 PM EST to 11:00 PM EST).

“CollegeWeekLive Fall 2008 will go above and beyond what we’ve offered in

previous shows. Our November event will feature more than 200 colleges and

universities from the United States, Canada, as well as leading schools

from Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom,” said Robert Rosenbloom,

President of PlatformQ, the producer of CollegeWeekLive. “While prior

CollegeWeekLive events have been recognized as the ‘world’s largest college

fair,’ the international scope of participating colleges, students,

speakers and content makes this a unique and truly international worldwide

virtual event.”

More than 100 colleges and universities have already registered, including

schools from Stanford to Susquehanna, and Dartmouth to Dayton. Also new

this year, CollegeWeekLive will have a designated floor featuring a limited

number of career schools and online universities. Early participants in

this program include The Art Institute, South University, Argosy

University, Strayer University and Bay State College.

Highlights of this unique online event:

— Real-time, interactive Q&A sessions with admissions officials

— Live interactive video chats with current college students providing an

insider’s view of campus life and the admissions process

— Virtual booths for colleges, featuring electronic brochures, videos,

webinars, podcasts, and real-time IM and video chat between admissions

counselors and students/parents

— Resource center for students and parents

— Services center to allow providers the ability to market their services

and products

— Scheduled school-specific presentations by admissions officials

— Scholarship and financial aid resources to help students and parents

— Live Web video chats with distinguished alumni of participating

universities.

Colleges see value in new recruitment tool

Colleges see in CollegeWeekLive the opportunity to connect with a new group

of prospective students and parents who they may not otherwise be reaching

in their traditional recruitment channels. “I was happily surprised with

the numbers,” said Vanessa Foote, Wentworth’s assistant director of

admissions. “We had 75 students log in, and they were students whose names

we were not already familiar with, that we had never had contact with

before. Ten of those 75 ultimately applied to Wentworth, and six have been

accepted.”
