The first time he was driving his Jeep with his crew and ran over a landmine. Killed everyone but him. For over 50 years he has been suffering everyday with the pain. JD was paralyzed for 2 1/2 years after the accident. The only thing he could do was blink his eyes.

He taught himself to walk again. He is a very strong and proud man.

He doesn’t like the word can’t. For some reason the VA will not issue his benefits It is so hard to watch him with more pain then anyone should have to live with. JD was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate CANCER and blood clots in his lungs. Since January of this year when he was diagnosed, I was place on unpaid family medical leave with my job. Jan 18.2017 to April 12 2017. Paid Family leave was only 12 weeks During that time.

Our bills are more the we can stand and on top of that we are facing being homeless. Our landlord has been trying to evicted us due to the fact we could only pay half the rent last month. And she was mad cuz I said the other part will be here in a week. Our house has a lot of issues.

It has been up for sale as is since, we moved in a 1 1/2 ago. Our landlord does as little as they can get away with. JD has had Dr appointments almost everyday in March. I would like to raise enough to clean up my credit. So we can get into a home and a car to be safe and secure while, JD is recovering from CANCER and blood clots.

Our wish is to meet our grandson Payton who was born last October 26, 2016.

Tanner our son who is Payton’s father was unable to be there for Payton’s birth.

All three of us will hopefully be Tulsa, Oklahoma bound. Only when JD is strong enough for the journey. And Yes you too Jewell!
