SUNNYVALE, CA–(EMWNews – August 21, 2008) – Fortinet® — the pioneer and leading
provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions — today announced
that Kendra Krause, the company’s director of Americas channel sales, has
been recognized by Everything Channel’s VARBusiness magazine as one of the
top 50 women in the technology integration business. The “Power 50” was
chosen by the editors of the magazine based on their achievements as
executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology
channel. The 50 women represent a changing trend in a traditionally
all-male industry.
Krause is responsible for strategy and execution of sales and marketing
programs for Fortinet’s North American partners. She plays a pivotal role
in supporting Fortinet’s 100-percent channel sales model.
With more than 10 years of channel experience, Krause has helped Fortinet
create a team entirely dedicated to the channel to help partners plan,
support and drive their businesses. Under her leadership, Fortinet’s
channel account team has grown by 120 percent within a 12-month period,
establishing a strong support system for the company’s FortiPartner
program. The program recently earned certification as a Five-Star Partner
from VARBusiness for the third consecutive year, an acknowledgement of
Fortinet’s commitment to and strength of its FortiPartner Program for IT
integrators, solution providers, resellers and consultants.
“We are very pleased and honored by VARBusiness’ recognition as it
confirmed something we already knew — that Kendra Krause is a tireless
champion of the channel community and a strong asset for Fortinet,” said
Michael Valentine, vice president of Americas channel sales at Fortinet.
“Kendra and her team have worked hard to create meaningful channel
programs, which has helped us build relationships with industry leaders
that have been mutually beneficial for Fortinet and our partners.”
“The ‘Power 50’ have made a profound impact on the technology marketplace,”
stated Robert C. DeMarzo, vice president and editorial director, Everything
Channel. “It is with a great sense of pride and honor that we offer
congratulations to Kendra Krause for her significant contributions to our
industry.”
