This is our nephew Kyrie that lives in the Philippines. He was born with myelomeningocele (a type of spina bifida which looks like a sac sticking out from his back), an imperforate anus (there is no anal opening) and Down’s syndrome.
His parents have been trying for 8 years to have a baby and he is their pride and joy but Kyrie needs your help.
The Philippines don’t have the NHS or medicare like the US and UK. Everything has to be paid for separately. The operation alone is about £4000 not taking in to account all the aftercare, cost of Kyrie’s hospital accommodation and medication. The family gathered money together to have surgery on his spine and to use a colostomy bag but we need help to fund an operation to create an anal opening and close the colostomy.
This operation is required as soon as possible as he is growing and getting older. Please help this lovely little boy. Thank you.
