Providers Association for Home Health & Hospice Agencies is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Dallas, Texas committed to providing education to the healthcare industry through seminars, health fairs, and online classes in hopes of reducing hospital readmission, this is critical for the health of patients and making the health care system more effective. In Texas, more than 3.3 million residents help their aging parents, spouses and other loved ones stay at home by providing assistance with bathing and dressing, transportation, finances, complex medical tasks like wound care and injections, and more. The value of this unpaid care totals about $35.5 billion a year. Nearly half (48 percent) of family caregivers are caring for someone who lives in his or her own home, while an additional 35 percent are sharing a home with the loved one they’re caring for.

It is our mission to educate agencies about patient safety to avoid hospital re-admissions thus ensuring caregivers are kept up to date and educated with the fast growing pace in the healthcare industry. A caregiver may never know the profound effect that they may have made on a person’s life. A kind word, a gentle touch or a listening ear can mean so much to someone who is sick, in pain or lonely. Caregivers generously give their gift of time to make contact, provide support and encouragement. It is vital that we express our genuine appreciation and gratitude for their commitment of time in caring for others.
We are currently seeking a small contribution to host our Caregiver Appreciation Gala located at the Westin Galleria Dallas on September 22, 2017.
