Earlier this year my basement flooded due to a backed up pipe and excessive rain. Water kept coming into my house until I had over 2 feet of water in my house. Everything that was in my basement was destroyed and had to be tossed out.
Insurance has covered some of the costs but will not cover what it cost me for the plumbers and they won’t cover the cost to have the basement fixed so this never happens again. I need to have the basement floor opened up so they can put in a tile system and a sump pump. They also need to fix all the basement walls so they stop leaking. The costs for that is almost 20,000.00 and I don’t have the means to pay for it.
That is only the cost for all the work that needs to be completed and does not include any of the items damaged. I just don’t ever want this to happen again.
I am doing what I can but with some injuries that I have it is making things difficult. I hope to raise the funds in the next couple of months so I can have the basement fixed by winter.
