WASHINGTON, DC–( EMWNews – April 1, 2008) – The Real Estate Services Providers Council,

Inc. (RESPRO®) elected Ronald J. Peltier, Chairman and CEO of

HomeServices of America, Inc. as its 2008 Chairman.

HomeServices of America, Inc. is based in Minneapolis and is the nation’s

second-largest full-service residential real estate brokerage firm and the

largest settlement services provider in the country. It also offers

integrated real estate services, including mortgage, title and closing

services, and other home related services.

Peltier began his career as sales associate with Minneapolis-based Edina

Realty and within two years opened a new sales office for the company.

After managing at the branch level for one year, he was appointed to

Regional Manager, responsible for the eastern half of the Twin Cities

market. In 1983, he became General Sales Manager, and in December 1992 was

named Edina Realty President and CEO. He was named President and CEO of

HomeServices of America, Inc., in early 1999.

The Board also elected Rich Macaluso, President and Chief Operating Officer

of Orange Coast Title, in Santa Ana, California as RESPRO® Vice Chair for

2008.

Other 2008 RESPRO® officers elected include President Susan E. Johnson of

RESPRO® in Washington, D.C.; Secretary Stephen D. Morrison of Wells Fargo

Home Loans in Des Moines, Iowa; and Treasurer George Eastment, III of Long

and Foster Companies in Fairfax, Virginia.

RESPRO® 2007 Chair Arthur Sterbcow, President of Latter & Blum, Inc.

Realtors in New Orleans, Louisiana, and 2006 RESPRO® Chair Brian Levy,

Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Shelter Mortgage LLC in

Milwaukee, Wisconsin will continue to serve on RESPRO®’s leadership

through its Executive Committee.
