Jeane Marie Leads National Campaign to Demand NHL Accountability on Domestic Violence
Los Angeles, California Apr 30, 2025 (EMWNews.com) – While many know Jeane Marieas a Billboard-charting artist featured in Daily Mail, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and Yahoo, few know she’s also a survivor of domestic abuse. Today, she’s leading a movement to demand change from one of the most powerful sports institutions in North America: the National Hockey League (NHL).
Her campaign, No Glory for Abusers, challenges the NHL’s refusal to adopt a formal domestic violence policy — a standard already in place in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Since the start of the 2024-2025 season, Jeane Marie and her team have protested in front of every LA Kings home game, refusing to let silence become complicity.
“This isn’t about one man or one moment,” said Jeane Marie. “It’s about a league that protects its image instead of protecting people.”
The protests — peaceful, highly visible, and survivor-led — are just one part of a broader push that includes media coverage, petition outreach, and direct pressure on team and league leadership.
