Please Help with My Puppy Taylor’s Life GoFundME ViralExposure.us Campaign

Taylor, our nearly six year old Rottweiler, was recently diagnosed with immune mediated hemolytic anemia.  When your dog has IMHA, it means his immune system destroys its own red blood cells. Her body still produces red blood cells in the bone marrow to replace the destroyed cells, but once they are released into circulation, the immune system mistakenly recognizes them as something foreign, like a virus or infection, and destroys them

This news has been heartbreaking for our family, especially for Taylor’s favorite thirteen year old, who has raised her since birth. Taylor is like a sibling to Eric. It has been a struggle for him as he watches his puppy struggle with her life.

We have been to three different veterinarians in our attempt to do everything possible to help Taylor through her battle. Taylor is the most gentle Rottweiler you can imagine, and we want to get her through this struggle.

Taylor’s “little” brother Hercules has also had a difficult time living without her. He is confused and whimpering for her as she is not around.

To be honest, we find ourselves scared by these developments. We can’t imagine life without Taylor and have continued to push forward with treatment, no matter how costly. Between x-rays, transfusions, and her steroid medication, we have spent thousands trying to help Taylor.

The best news we can give is that the doctors have given her a 50/50 chance to live. Taylor can be cured, but if she cannot be treated properly for IMHA, then she will have to be put down – and we will do everything within our power to keep this from happening. If we cannot get her red blood cells to drop and platelets up – she will not be able to breathe, and will suffocate. We will help Taylor from experiencing that though we do not want to put her down.

It’s hard to ask for help, but we love Taylor so much that we want to ask if you might contribute to her medical fund. Our current bills total over $6,000, and we intend to keep going because she’s one strong girl! We are hopeful she is going to press through this.

Any money received that goes beyond what is needed to help Taylor will be donated to our friends at the Quakertown Veterinary Clinic . We want to help our other furry friends with your generosity!

We will do our best to keep you posted. Thanks for considering helping Taylor, and please help spread the word!

If you have any questions, please contact Philip or Eric at [email protected]
