Pre-Employment Floorman (Roughneck) Training Program for Land and Offshore Oilrigs

This 20-day training program directly relates to oil and gas drilling and rig floor operations. Candidates for this program would be individuals interested in finding employment within the oil and gas industry that have little/no experience or people looking to re-enter this field.
North Sydney, Nova Scotia (EMWNews) July 25, 2008 — This 20-day training program directly relates to oil and gas drilling and rig floor operations. Candidates for this program would be individuals interested in finding employment within the oil and gas industry that have little/no experience or people looking to re-enter this field.
Students receive (IADC) HSE RIG PASS accreditation recognized internationally and gives the offshore endorsement. (IADC) Well CAP well control accreditation for introductory level drilling/workover/completion.
Safety Certifications included: Hoisting and Rigging, Fall Protection & Scaffolding, Basic Fire Safety, Confined Space Entry, Standard First Aid & CPR, H2S Awareness, Work Place Hazardous Materials Information System, Operational Health & Safety, and Forklift Operator.
The total cost of this program is CAD $4000.00 for tuition, books, and CAD $200.00 registration. Applicants may also want to consider taking the Advanced Drilling Technology Program Level II, III and IV following graduation. The price of this program is $5950.00 and the Pre-Employment Floorman (Roughneck) Training Program is included and serves as Level I. Levels II, III and IV are completed via correspondence and will help students acquire the knowledge and management skills to advance further in a career. It also prepares students to operate in a safe and efficient manner with respect for personnel, equipment and protection for our environment.
Accommodations are available at the MacDonald House. The cost of accommodations for the duration of the course is CAD $600.00, plus a $100.00 cash damage deposit. Currency based on Canadian and US students.
