3M Company donates 300 race tickets WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 /EMWNews/ -- The American Red Cross will zoom into Brooklyn, MI, on Friday, August 15, bringing along its Red Cross Racing exhibit so NASCAR fans can learn more about Red Cross services. The Red Cross Racing program was launched in April at Talladega in conjunction with the 3M Company and Roush Fenway Racing. The traveling display encourages NASCAR fans to give blood, following the lead of NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, who is also a blood donor and member of the Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet. Admission to the exhibit is free and visitors can enjoy several interactive activities, including joining Red Cross Racing and its NASCAR-themed Donor Rewards Program. The exhibit will be on the midway through Sunday, August 17. Throughout the weekend, several lucky fans will have the opportunity to win a spot at an autograph signing by Greg Biffle on Sunday, August 17. In addition, 3M has generously donated 300 tickets to the American Red Cross for the Sunday race itself. Over 16,000 people have already joined Red Cross Racing and together earned over 16 million points toward NASCAR-themed prizes such as caps, tee shirts, jackets, and limited edition die-cast cars. You can join one of two ways, either at the track, or by visiting redcrossracing.com. Registrants are automatically entered for a chance to win an all-expense-paid trip for two to the Phoenix race in November, when the #16 Ford Fusion, driven by Biffle, will feature a full Red Cross paint scheme. The prize package includes airfare, hotel, two race tickets and pit and garage tours. To give blood, you must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Some states allow 16-year-olds to donate with parental consent. Red Cross urges everyone who can to join Red Cross Racing by visiting redcrossracing.com to schedule a blood donation appointment in the days and weeks ahead to ensure an adequate supply of blood is available when needed.
