It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Shirley Redleaf on May 5th, 2017.
She was 73 years young.
Our mother went into the hospital on January 19th she was hemorrhaging blood from her lungs. This was caused from the radiation scars from her cancer that she had in 1994. The doctors were able to fix my mom’s problem but then she was put on a ventilator. She had a history of copd and heart disease. My mom was not a smoker but got copd from second hand smoke. She fought hard for 108 days to get off the ventilator, on the 109th day she lost her battle.
Shirley was a wonderful mom of 3 children and the 2nd youngest of 5 siblings. She will be missed greatly.
My mom lived with me for the last 6 years and was on a fixed income. She may have not owned much but she was surrounded by alot of love. My name is Tracie Redleaf and I am trying to raise money to fufill my mom’s last request of a small memorial service and cremation. I never realized how much money that would mean. Any amount raised will be greatly appreciated. I would not be asking if we did not need it. Frankly I don’t know what I am going to do without her she was my best friend.
