Applications in Process for UL and CSA Certifications



    MENLO PARK, Calif., July 23 /Xinhua-EMWNews/ -- Solar

EnerTech Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: SOEN) (the "Company") today announced

that the Company has obtained its VDE Certification.



    The VDE Mark indicates conformity with the VDE standards or European or

internationally harmonized standards and confirms compliance with

protective requirements of the applicable EC Directive(s). The VDE Mark,

awarded for photovoltaic components and systems, is a symbol for

electrical, mechanical, thermal, toxic, radiological and other hazards.



    Mr. Leo Young, Chief Executive Officer of Solar EnerTech, commented,

''We are very pleased to obtain this certification, which will improve our

business opportunities in the European marketplace. In addition to the

recently secured VDE certification mark, Solar Enertech holds all other

major international PV certifications, including IEC 61215 and CE. Further,

our manufacturing process is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified. We

are in the process of applying for UL and CSA certifications, which can

help facilitate our entry into other markets and augment our production

capabilities.''



    The Company plans to report its results for the third fiscal quarter of

2008, ended June 30, sometime during the first week of August.
