Study Abroad Australia GoFundME CrowdFunding Exposure Campaign
My story: I am a student of the University of Pittsburgh and major in Accounting and Finance. It has been a dream of mine to study abroad in Australia. I have worked tirelessly to keep my grades up, volunteer, and help my community. I have been presented a great opportunity at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia from Feb 18-May 18.
Your Impact: Studying abroad, I have found, is very costly and although financial aid is extremely helpful, it doesn’t cover everything. They’re a lot of upfront costs that need to be paid for me to make this trip possible and I am hoping you can help with that. I have applied for every scholarship and grant that I could possibly find and I am still left with quite a few up-front bills. It will cover my international health insurance, my student visa, my housing deposit, my program deposits, and finally my round-trip flight to and from Australia.
My impact: I have been advised to try this website to raise the money needed and anyone who would send a Christmas or birthday gift, I would rather you donate to the trip of my dreams. This is not only an experience of a life-time, but a chance for me to study at the #23 business school in the world. I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, I have kept my GPA a 4.0, I have volunteered as a fire marshal and I have worked full-time while being a full-time student and spent every cent I have for this trip.
Why Australia: I choose Australia because it is known for its accounting research and has a growing economy that I can gain knowledge on as well as some of the best Universities in the world for my majors. Any donations are appreciated and I will be posting daily while in Australia so you can see exactly where your money is being spent, which will be used to take full advantage of the academic opportunities!
