LOS ANGELES, Aug. 13 /EMWNews/ -- Social shopping site ThisNext

(http://www.ThisNext.com) today announced the promotion of Scott Morrow

from President to Chief Executive Officer. He joined ThisNext in September

'07 with a winning track record for such giants as IAC/Citysearch and CNET,

and his rise to CEO reflects the rapid, organic growth of all aspects of

ThisNext's business.

ThisNext, the social shopping site where people explore, discover and

rave about the hottest products, has grown 154 percent in unique visitors

under Morrow's leadership.

"From day one, my role has been to plan, justify and determine the

right time to build the company," explained Co-Founder and initial CEO

Gordon Gould. "I chose Scott to lead ThisNext as CEO because of his

business acumen and proven leadership in constructing successful brands."

Gould will actively continue as Executive Chairman and a public face

for ThisNext, while Morrow takes the helm as lead on day-to-day operations.

The new CEO's vision for the company is to create a global consumer brand

based on guided product discovery. ThisNext is expanding exponentially from

new members and a corporate partnership program to its new location on the

Santa Monica promenade.

"ThisNext is uniquely positioned to lead the emergence of social

shopping as a global phenomenon," said Morrow. "We're expanding an

executive team to scale our business as we focus on market leadership and

rapid growth on all fronts."

Morrow has a strong background in identifying and developing emerging

businesses and building brand recognition. Morrow was Executive Vice

President, Product and Marketing with IAC/Citysearch, where he repositioned

the brand and successfully launched merchant and consumer sites, including

integrated video.

Previously, he was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for CNET.

There, Morrow built Download.com into an online consumer force. He led a

shift in business models that enjoyed a 400 percent increase in revenue

while holding onto a 70 percent operating margin.

Morrow, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University

of Tennessee, earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at

Northwestern University.
