Toothapps and Synchrony Partner to Make Dental Care Financing Easier to Manage With Integration of CareCredit Financing

Minnetonka, Minnesota Jul 14, 2026 (EMWNews.com) – Toothapps®, the technology platform powering dental practices and dental support organizations (DSOs) nationwide, today announced a strategic partnership with Synchrony (NYSE: SYF) solution, CareCredit, a leading provider of health and wellness financing. Under the agreement, CareCredit’s financing options will be integrated directly into Cair, Toothapps’ patient-facing engagement app, offering dental teams and their patients a seamless way to apply for and use financing at every step of the care journey — from scheduling through checkout.

The partnership addresses one of dentistry’s most persistent challenges: clarity in financing options. Research consistently shows that cost concerns are among the top reasons patients delay or decline recommended care, which can leave dental teams with a backlog of diagnosed-but-unscheduled treatment. By embedding CareCredit financing into the same platform where patients already track their care, Toothapps and CareCredit aim to close the knowledge gap for patients and make it easier for patients to understand and access financing solutions– turning more diagnoses into completed treatment, and more treatment plans into healthier patients.

“Every day, dental teams diagnose care that patients want but can’t immediately afford, and that gap costs practices revenue and costs patients their health,” said Dr. Bryan Laskin, founder and CEO of Toothapps. “Bringing CareCredit into Cair means offering a way for patients to pay over time, and financing isn’t a separate, awkward conversation at the front desk anymore — it’s built into the same experience where patients already see their treatment plan and their care team. That’s how you turn a ‘yes, but’ into a ‘yes.'”

“Dental care is often postponed not because patients don’t value it, but because the path to paying for it isn’t clear or convenient,” said Matt Muscolo, General Manager, Dental, Synchrony. “By integrating CareCredit financing directly into Toothapps’ Cair platform, we’re helping dental teams make financing options part of the care experience so patients can understand their options earlier and get the care they want in a way that helps fit their budget.”

How It Works

The integration allows CareCredit’s application, payment, and promotional financing options directly into the workflows patients already use inside Cair and the broader Toothapps platform, including:

  • Apply and pay actions available at scheduling, check-in, and checkout
  • Text-and-email links upon request that let patients apply for or pay with CareCredit from home, without an office visit
  • Real-time posting of application, approval, and transaction results back into the practice’s workflow

The result is a financing experience that feels like a natural extension of care, rather than a separate transaction, helping practices increase case acceptance while giving patients clarity and choice in how they pay.

Availability

The CareCredit integration will be available to all practices on the Toothapps platform and DSOs adopting Cair.
