Tree Island Wire Income Fund Announces Distribution

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(EMWNews – Aug. 18, 2008) – Tree Island Wire Income Fund (TSX:TIL.UN) announced today that a distribution of $1,830,037.24 ($0.0833333 per unit) will be paid on September 15, 2008 to unitholders of record on August 31, 2008. This distribution consists of interest on the subordinated notes of Tree Island Industries Ltd. (“Tree Island”) paid by Tree Island for the 31-day period ending August 31, 2008.

All of this distribution is taxable interest income.
