William E. Laverty Joins Sterne Agee’s Public Finance Group

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Aug. 13 /EMWNews/ -- William E. Laverty has joined

the New York City office of Sterne, Agee & Leach, Inc. as Managing Director

and Head of Municipal Sales, Trading and Underwriting.



    Mr. Laverty brings 33 years of experience in all aspects of municipal

sales, trading and underwriting to the Public Finance Group. Most recently

a Managing Director and Manager of Underwriting at Bank of America, Mr.

Laverty also brings additional experience and national contacts from his

work at J.P. Morgan Securities, Merrill Lynch, Dillon Read, William E.

Simon and Reinoso & Company. Mr. Laverty holds a B.A. degree from Villanova

University and an M.B.A. from Boston College.
