Winning Kids, Inc., Creator of Traveling Bear(TM) Children’s Book Series Launches in Spanish Language Throughout Latin America

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Aug. 21 /EMWNews/ -- The lessons and

adventures of "T-Bear," "Mookie" and "Chuga," the three cuddly characters

featured in the innovative Traveling Bear(TM) children's book series, will

now be available in Spanish beginning in September 2008, according to

company president and creator Christian J. Hainsworth.

Aimed at children ages 3-8, the award-winning 14-book series is

designed to promote character building; instill positive values, winning

attitudes, leadership and self confidence through edu-tainment. Having

received the prestigious "2008 Preferred Choice Award" from Creative Child

Magazine, Hainsworth and his now bilingual bears are bringing these

messages to the Hispanic market. The company has already begun to develop

distribution channels for the universal Spanish series throughout Latin

America in Brazil, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras,

Mexico, Peru, and Puerto Rico.

Winning Kids President Christian Hainsworth stated, "The demand coming

at us is enormous. Traveling Bear is one of the best children's book series

on the market and it serves a positive purpose. So much of what children

learn today comes to them in the form of entertainment. Well, we refer to

our series as edu-tainment. That is why we have been so well-received and

right from the initial launch in English we were constantly being asked for

the character building tools to be made available in Spanish.

Hainsworth initiated the project as he recognized the need for

materials that build positive character and values in children. "I realized

there was a lack of material in this area," he said, adding, "I also wanted

to enhance reading abilities while providing enjoyment which is very

important." Launched in December 2007 in New York City, the series comes

with read-along audio/visual CD/DVDs and can be ordered online at

According to the New York-based Children's Book Council, a nonprofit

trade association of book publishers and related materials for young

adults, there is also a large number of Spanish-speaking parents in the

U.S. who want their children to maintain their Spanish-language skills. As

a result, many Hispanic children in the United States, even those who are

second and third generation, speak Spanish in the home and retain ties to

their roots. Publishers can effectively respond to this market by making

available the broadest possible selection of excellent children's books in

Spanish.
