Cancer Expense Assistance

Ralph Alan Williams

Praise the lord for all his goodness, blessings and favor.

Back in October of 2017, I fell from a small step ladder reprograming the garage door remote. Of course, I was sore for several days, but close to Thanksgiving I started to have sever pain in my lower back. I made several trips to the emergency room before I was referred to an Orthopedic. When I went to see the Orthopedic, an MRI was performed and discovered that I had a tumor (5cm) between my 4th and 5th Lumbar. I was sent to the hospital for testing and a biopsy. At that point it was discovered that I had Stage 4 Lung Cancer that had metastasis into the Spine and Lymph Nodes.

I started Radiation Therapy in February on the large Tumor in my lower back and my Oncologist started Chemo and other treatments in March. Last week I had CT Scans done and when I went for my follow up appointment this past Thursday, Dr. informed me that all of the Tumors and the Lymph Nodes had shrunken at least 60%. This is fantastic news. My Dr. was in shock as to how well I was receiving the treatment.

I know that the good Lord used that fall to awaken me to the fact that something was going on in my body. Through his goodness, I was able to catch this early, begin the treatment and will get back to health. When I first got the news, I asked God to take care of it, and I knew he would. I have maintained a positive attitude and every morning and night I thank God for my healing.

I am normally a self-sufficient person, have been that way all of my life. I simply would rather do with out that ask someone for something that I really can wait for. I was watching a televangelist the other day and part of his sermon was don’t be afraid to ask for help. I am at the point right now that I really do need some temporary help with finances, and spiritual healing.

There has been a lot happening to me since the first of the year. I was diagnosed with the Stage 4 Lung Cancer, a lot of costly issues with both cars, A/C window unit went out, just to name a few. All of these expenses I have had to put on Credit Cards. Currently my medical expenses have been $223,951.00, Insurance has paid $72,872.00 and the in-network savings have been $136,660.00. Leaving me with $12,419 in Deductibles and Co-Pays. This is where I need the help.

Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. If you can’t help, I understand and would appreciate it if you would keep this going by sharing the GoFundMe post, and place me in your thoughts and prayers. Prayers really do work, I have seen them.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and God Bless You!
