Baby Bentley Needs Surgery GoFundME Booster Promotion CrowdFunding Campaign CrowdFundingExposure.com
It is a sad day for Bentley and I.
For those who know me or follow me on social media, you may have seen that I recently got a puppy named Bentley. Bentley is an American bully mix and is about 6 months old now.
From the moment I got her, Bentley has been the most cutest puppy ever and she is so loving and happy all the time.
Today, on June 21st, I was taking a road trip to California and Bentley started throwing up all her food and fluids and was having a hard time breathing.
I thought maybe she was just feeling sick and could’ve had an upset tummy or possibly parvo so I took her to the hospital in California immediately to find out what was wrong and get her treated…
After taking many tests (parvo, bloodwork, and x-rays) the doctor told me that Bentley had swallowed a foreign object that had went into her stomach and intestines (pictured x-ray below) was making her intestines inflamed and this caused water to get into her lungs as well.
The doctor quoted this procedure at almost $5000 not including her after care and hospitlization (that could go up to $10,000 for the next few weeks). The type of surgery she needs is a Gastrointestinal surgery that will take out the object and hopefully let her breath properly again.
I recently just got Bentley and never would’ve thought this would happen to her. When the doctor told me the news my heart was broken. Long story short I was given two options…
1. She was going to pass away within a couple hours or needed to be put to sleep (which I couldn’t think about doing).
2. She had to get this surgery immediately.
The thought of having to pay more than five thousand dollars for a puppy’s surgery and making the decision if I wanted to get the surgery done was extremely hard and heart breaking at the same time. Not only because this amount of money is so much to have to pay for an emergency but also because I just got Bentley and have grown so much love for her in such a short period of time.
I see these gofundme pages all the time and I honestly never would’ve thought I would have to make one… Having all of this debt for Bentley was so crazy and scary to me. For those who know me you know that I love Bentley so much and she has consumed a big part of my life in the past 6 months and I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if she passed away.
Anything would be greatly appreciated…

UPDATE: Bentley thankfully survived her surgery and is now recovering in the hospital getting oxygen and all her vitals. She needs to be hospitalized to get the oxygen she needs for a few days 🙁
