New Mobility Brand Convoy Announces Exhibiting Debut at Everything Electric London 2025

CONVOY etrailer C01

The flagship product of the British micromobility startup is CONVOY C01: an e-trailer that transforms any bike into an electric cargo bike, packed with category-leading tech and performance. Waiting lists are now open for upcoming pre-orders.

London, United Kingdom Feb 7, 2026 (EMWNews.com) – The first family-focused mobility brand CONVOY is celebrating its exhibition debut with the world’s leading home energy & electric vehicle show Everything Electric at the London ExCel from April 16th to 18th. In a strategic space at the entrance of the Micro Mobility Test Track in stand T2, the newcomer put the spotlight on an entirely new product category: the bike e-trailer, aimed to revolutionise the cargo bike and bike trailer categories.

CONVOY’s first product, the C.01, is the world’s safest and smartest e-trailer that supercharges your bike for school runs, shopping and adventures. CONVOY is fun, fast and green and unlike cargo bikes, is lightweight, easy to ride, easy to store and at 25% the price of a premium cargo bike.

Backed by industry veterans like Nick Wilkinson (CEO of Dunelm, ex-CEO of Evans Cycles) and serial entrepreneur Alex Asseily (Jawbone, Zulu Ecosystems, Dance), CONVOY is the first family-focused mobility end to end business with the mission to simplify urban family mobility while replacing 1 billion short car trips.

Your bike but better, way better

The key unique proposition of the C01 is that it can transform any pedal bike into an electric cargo bike, with a modular e-trailer that attaches in seconds and with no tools, allowing riders to transform their bikes into a utility electric bike. With a patent-pending 3-point locking mechanism and two sensors, CONVOY’s C.01 follows your bike thanks to its wireless active steering creating an organic, nimble ride radically different to the experience of riding a bike with a traditional trailer.

The C.01 weighs 13 kg, assembles with one hand and three simple clicks, and it comes with a 250 watt motor with 30km range and 25km/h speed that connects to its own App. Riders can set up their profile preference, turn on the rear lights, check the battery capacity and riding assistance features from the app.

Boasting world-class components, CONVOY’s C.01 is compliant with the highest international safety standards. As a smart product, C.01 can be charged with any USB-C charging cable and allows future product updates to be installed wirelessly on the e-trailer.

Co-founder a TIME’s Best Inventor

Co-founder and CEO Jon O’Toole who will be present at the CONVOY stand T2 at Everything Electric London, started the company with co-founder Josh Richards in January 2024. Before starting CONVOY, the award-winner product designer had made a name for himself as a founding member of femtech brand Elvie where he was Chief Product and Operations Officer with prior experience at Dyson. Among O’Toole’s achievements, he is an MIT Innovator Under 35 with over 50 awards for his products, including prestigious honours from the Red Dot Design Awards and two features in TIME Magazine’s ‘100 Best Inventions’.

O’Toole loves how effortlessly CONVOY fits into daily life. “My car just gathers dust now–I’m saving money, cutting my impact, and having way more fun. Riding with e-power feels like a secret superpower and skipping traffic while hauling my weekly shop is pure joy. I want more people to experience that”.

Co-founder Josh Richards is the Creative Director. Formerly design manager responsible for the delivery of new category innovation at Shark Ninja and experienced in developing and licensing IP to renowned brands such as Joseph Joseph and Fulling Mill. As an avid cyclist and father of 2, who experienced first-hand the struggles of keeping his cycling passion while commuting and doing school runs with two small children, Richards decided to put his product design expertise and know-how in leveraging existing technology innovations from other industries to the mission of creating the ultimate solution for busy, urban families who want fast, easy and guilt-free ways to get from A to B.

Speaking about co-founding Convoy, Richards said: “In design, there’s a saying: people want the hole, not the drill. That’s the magic of CONVOY–it delivers cargo capacity without the compromises of living with a full-size cargo bike. I already had bikes I loved to ride, but as a new dad, most of my riding involved nursery drop offs, parcel returns, and food shopping–tasks my bikes just weren’t set up for. With CONVOY, I get to ride the bike I love, breeze through daily errands, and enjoy the extra boost of electric assist.”
