Peripartum and Postpartum Cardiomyopathy (PPCM) is an uncommon form of heart failure that happens during the last month of pregnancy or up to five months after giving birth. The underlying cause is unclear. There is no cure for this deadly disease.

Fight Against Peripartum and Postpartum Cardiomyopathy is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to making pregnancy safe for every women in the world, promote awareness and bring support to Peripartum and Postpartum Cardiomyopathy mothers & families.

I created this non-profit organization about 5 years ago after I was diagnosed with Postpartum Cardiomyopathy (PPCM) in 1992. I was given 6 months to live. I almost died from PPCM. Because of PPCM, 4 years ago I had emergency open heart surgery, 7 years ago implanted defibrillator and 5 years ago a very silent heart attack. I’m still alive. Help me continue to spread awareness about this deadly disease that has taken so many mother’s lives.

We need your support.

Your donations will help fund our first PPCM Summit in 2018. Your donations will allow us to hire the best expert PPCM speakers, cardiologist, OB-GYN doctors, nurses, a PPCM survivor panelist will share their experience and knowledge with PPCM, rental of event hall, catering and more.

I guarantee your donations will help women, pregnant or otherwise, be armed with the right tools and knowledge so they can be aware and reduce the rate of PPCM. Save a heart…please save a life.

Thank You.
