However I persevered through tragedy to become a grounded and driven individual, I have always taken pride in being independent, with a giving heart always out to lend a helping hand to anyone. I served in the US Navy and was discharged honorably.
After returning stateside, I became productive in the workforce. Also taking on the task of adopting 2 brothers from another state, and taking on the task of being a single father of 2. My love of driving, lead me to drive school bus children which was a joy to do.
I moved on to Greyhound lines before accepting a position at NFTA as a city transportation driver. about a year ago I was experiencing major body weakness and drastic changes to my appetite and mobility. after much testing it was deemed that I needed to have a liver transplant. I had to come out of work and its been hard but I persevere., because I need to have a specialized transplant, the hospitals that perform them are few, my closet one being 800 plus miles away in NYC.
The veterans admin doesn’t do it.
I”ve had numerous appointments locally. And the costs have added up.. So at this time I come to you to help save my life. I have been out of work for a year and the travel for a previous pre-testing appointment, in New York City. along with upcoming week of more testing in NYC.
Along with the costs associated with the operational procedure itself, and the astronomical costs associated with having to remain in NYC 4 to 6 weeks after surgery have me stressed out to the depth of my core. , I have always been independent and this is one of the hardest things, I’ve ever had to do in my life, but my life is truly at stake, being left to fend for myself alone ,, but I’m not bitter, just wiser and I know you don’t know me but if you could find it in your heart to donate to my campaign. It would be so much appreciated, and I know in my heart you will be blessed beyond what you give.
