Chucho Gallardo is just a regular 23 years old guy just like your son, brother, or nephew: a university student who has never been in any kind of trouble, has dreams of traveling the world, and enjoying life to the maximum. Chucho has never put much value in material things, he would rather be in the natural elements rock climbing, hiking, camping, etc. Everywhere he has gone he has made long lasting friendships as he is warm, kind, and honest. Most recently he traveled to California where he was involved in a tragic car accident when Chucho was driving his friends home one evening. One of his traveling companions lost his life and Chucho had a traumatic eye injury and is now on the brink of losing his sight and his whole left eye unless he receives surgery immediately.
Chucho has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. All of the friends who were in the car with him, as well as the family of his deceased friend are gathering around him to support the dismissal of the charges as they all see it as a tragic accident that could happen to anyone and they don’t want to see one tragedy turn into two. Chucho is alone in California. All of his family as well as the family of the deceased live out of the country and are unable to be with him and advocate for him through this difficult time.
Chucho needs the funds for legal defense, expert witnesses, and urgent surgeries to save his sight. Help us save Chucho from losing his sight and his ability to do the things he loves the most.
Chucho Gallardo es un joven normal de 23 años como tu hijo, hermano, o sobrino: él es un estudiante universitario que nunca ha estado envuelto en ningún tipo de problemas con nadie, él tiene planes de viajar por el mundo, y disfrutar al máximo la vida. A Chucho nunca le han importado las cosas materiales, prefiere estar en su elemento natural escalando, irse de excursión y de campamento. Donde él ha viajado ha dejado amistades entrañables, él es bueno, amable y honesto. Recientemente Chucho viajó a California donde estuvo envuelto en un trágico accidente donde él venía manejando con sus amigos de regreso a casa y uno de los pasajeros perdió la vida en el accidente y Chucho tuvo una lesión traumática muy severa en el ojo y está al borde de perder la vista por completo y el ojo izquierdo a menos de que reciba cirugías inmediatamente.
Chucho ha sido acusado de homicidio imprudencial. Todos sus amigos que viajaban con él, así como la familia de su amigo que falleció están apoyando a Chucho y presionando a la corte para que le retiren los cargos que se le impusieron en su contra pues no quieren que esta terrible tragedia se convierta en doble tragedia. Chucho está solo en California. Toda su familia así como la familia de su amigo que falleció viven fuera de Estados Unidos y no pueden estar con él para acompañarlo y apoyarlo en este situación tan difícil.
Chucho necesita los fondos necesarios para su defensa legal, peritaje y sus urgentes cirugías para salvar su ojo, su vista y su libertad para hacer lo que a él mas ama.
